IW Financial’s sustainability research underpins CR Ratings
PORTLAND, Maine (April 17, 2012) — Corporate Responsibility (CR) Magazine today published its 13th annual 100 Best Corporate Citizens List™. The list ranks Russell 1000™ companies on their performance in seven key areas: Environment, Climate Change, Human Rights, Philanthropy, Employee Relations, Financial and Corporate Governance. This is the fifth year that IW Financial has provided the sustainability research and helped CR fine tune the criteria and methodology to develop the list.
IW Financial worked closely with the CRO Association methodology committee on this year’s list. The methodology emphasizes transparency and disclosure.
"We provide objective research and analytics in support of our clients goals. It is gratifying when these goals help promote disclosure and transparency,” said Sam Pierce, CEO of IW Financial. “We have seen an increase in corporate disclosure each of the five years IW Financial has done the research for the list. Both companies and investors are now recognizing the importance of these issues."
The 13th Annual CR 100 Best Corporate CitizensTM list comes at a time when both companies and investors are acknowledging the benefits of good corporate citizenship.
